I feel like I may get tomatoes thrown at me for this post, but far too often the subject is neglected and you may be at risk.  What am I talking about?  Too much exercise.  Yes, there is such a thing.

Here are a few warning signals that you may be over doing it.

Excess fatigue and burn out.
Insomnia.
Your weight loss or muscle gains have plateaued.
Injury.
You’re getting sick more often or those “colds” that won’t go away.
You feel worse after exercising instead of better or you may even dread working out all together.
You are experiencing a decrease in performance.
Your family time is suffering.
…..or simply enough….you’re not be enjoying it anymore.

If any of these issues sound familiar to you, then it may be a time to step back and take a break for a bit. Not months (unless you really need to reevaluate, but for me, just taking a week or so off at times has helped me tremendously both mentally and physically.
