This is something that I’ve been thinking about over the last couple of weeks that I wanted to share it with you.
Something unintentionally brought to my attention.
On a few recent occasions, I’ve had someone randomly say to me or ask me, “what’s wrong?” or “are you mad?” or “you look so focused.” And my answer every time was “no, I’m good!” or “everything is great!”
That’s when it occurred to me that {my} our facial expression says sooooo much about us!
While yes, I may have been in a perfectly good mood and/or having a good day, other people around me didn’t know it because of my facial expression at the time! Was I frowning? Did I have a sour look on my face? I really don’t know, but obviously I wasn’t smiling.
So with that, I have a new goal to make sure that my inward emotions are seen outwardly, too.
If you’re heart is smiling, then your face should be smiling as well.
Remember the song you learned as a child? “If you’re happy and you know it, then your face should surely show it…”
So I challenge you also to SMILE! Let others see your smiling heart!
Shelby and I started practicing this week.
