I can always tell when the holiday season has arrived.

No, it’s not the turkey and dressing, cranberry sauce or pumpkin pies.

It’s not even the Christmas lights that are already hung along the rooftops.

It’s the hundreds of catalogs that fill my mailbox on a daily basis!

Everyday I’m receiving handfuls of catalogs for shopping and ordering.

I admit I’m a big fan of catalog shopping.  It’s just so easy to call, order, give strangers my money and then have my package delivered right to my front door.

I apologize Postal Lady for all the stuffing of catalogs in my mailbox you’ll have to do for the month of December.

Do you catalog shop or do you like the hustle and bustle of the shopping crowds?

Lunch

Who says that homemade waffles are only for breakfast?

These were pretty yummy for lunch, too!  I added light soy milk, a touch of brown sugar, maple flavor and pecans and topped with warm, cinnamony apples=a heart warmin’, belly-rubbin’, super statisfyin’ lunch.

Afternoon Run

It was late this evening when we started and dark when we returned.  I literally ran the dirt road today by memory and the sound of my feet hitting the gravel.  I’m still having trouble with my knee pain, so two miles is about all I’m doing right now.  It was all good though, ’cause overall I was pleased with my time.

How was your Wednesday?

  1. Great job on the run! I have that same Auburn plate and I really enjoy using it.

  2. I don’t know how anyone managed before Internet shopping for Christmas. My goal this year is NOT to see the mall in the month of December. So far, so good. 🙂

    • I was at the mall for just a few minutes today and was quickly reminded why I like to internet and catalog shop!
