Don’t be fooled into thinking that you can only get a good workout at the gym or with $1000 + equipment. For something different and because I get bored easily, I recently took my workout outdoors without using my free weights that I’m used to using. And while my form is not the best (I’m working at improving it), each time I’ve exercised this way, I have gotten a really good workout and have definitely been sore the next morning! 😉
For this workout I did 2 sets with various reps of 10-25 each {except the pull ups and I was lucky to do 2 sets of 5 reps!}
Full Sit Ups-25
Crunches-25
(with any ab routine, be sure you are pulling your stomach in towards your backbone rather than pushing it upwards to the ceiling)
I told my hubby to just take random pictures at different angles. Thanks Honey……
Leg Lifts/Pulse Ups-25
Bench Dips-15
(looking at this picture, I need to have my back and my butt straighter and closer to the bench-I have terrible posture)
This is my ‘hurry up and take the picture, I’m dying’ look.
Push Ups-10
“Please take the picture.”
Killer Push Ups-5 (this is of course, not the official name of these push ups, it’s just what I call them)
Pull Ups-5 (using the playground equipment)
(just ignore the look of affliction on my face)
Lunges-20(remember to not let your knee go beyond your foot)
I also didn’t do any more lower body exercises than this-I ran 3 miles before working out and didn’t want to kill my legs anymore! 😉
The Traditional Plank-hold at least 30-60 seconds
(I like to save this one for last, because even though it’s hard {for me} to hold that long, I find this pose very relaxing)

If you’re still questioning this type of workout, try it and see what you think. You can also read my post You Don’t Need a Gym Membership to Lose Weight for more encouragement! I have such a good time just trying new things and seeing what I’m capable of doing. I’m not perfect at it by any means and you can probably tell by the look on my face that I definitely struggle keeping up, but I feel better and stronger every time I finish!

Awesome workout! I’m going to incorporate some of those exercises in my gym workout. Fun pictures too!
Thanks Carolina!
I really enjoyed this! These are all things I could and should do more often.
