A few weekends ago, Clark and I took a last minute weekend trip to Cheaha State Park and Desoto Falls. Although it was wet and rainy, it was such a great weekend! It’s a state park tucked away deep in the mid-Alabama woods and really feels like it could be thousands of miles from the city.
They have several lodging accommodations to choose from, but we loved these little one room cabins.
My coffee tasted extra yummy . 🙂
Here’s the inside of the cabin. I considered building a fire even though it was 80+ degrees.
It was beautiful walking through the dense fog along the hiking trails.
It was just crazy thinking about having these views and something like this in Alabama where we are used to flat ground and beaches.
From there we rode on to Desoto Falls.
How many times does it take to get the perfect selfie?
We finished our day with dinner at the Wildflower Cafe in Mentone, AL.
Do you enjoy visiting state parks? Have you ever been to Cheaha?
